Class of 1963: George Tuel
George Tuel became the first Bryson ISD athlete to win a gold medal at the state track meet in 1963, with an 880 time of 1:56:6. George was All-District in football and basketball two years and served as the Bryson FFA Chapter Vice-President. After graduating George earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam serving in the Army. George married Sandra Burt and raised Brent and Todd in Bryson.
